Eugene Levy Joins Hockey Film 'Goon'

Eugene Levy is joining the cast of Michael Dowse's "Goon," which is shooting in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Based on the book "Goon: The True Story of an Unlikely Journey into Minor League Hockey" by Doug Smith and Adam Frattasio, which has been adapted for the screen by Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg, the movie stars Seann William Scott, Baruchel, Liev Schreiber and Alison Pill.

Don Carmody, David Gross and Jesse Shapira are producing.

Myriad Pictures will handle worldwide sales for the film; Alliance has all Canadian rights.
