Evercore to launch media, tech research
Investment banking firm hires experienced industry analystsNEW YORK - Independent investment banking firm Evercore Partners plans to launch research coverage of media, entertainment, cable and tech stocks in the coming months after hiring seasoned veterans as analysts.
The company's research team includes former Soleil Securities analyst Alan Gould as media & entertainment analyst, ex-Banc of America and former Credit Suisse staffers Bryan Kraft (also Banc of America) and Kenneth Sena as cable & satellite and consumer Internet analysts, respectively.
Morgan Stanley veterans Douglas Arthur and Jonathan Schildkraut will be responsible for covering publishing and telecom stocks, respectively.
They all plan to launch their coverage during the current third quarter.
Technology, media and telecom is one of two initial focus areas for Evercore's research activities. The second focus are financial institutions.
Evercore said it is looking to provide independent and "actionable" investment ideas.
