E.W. Scripps Expanding Syndicated Footprint for 'The List' (Exclusive)

The entertainment news magazine, entering its fifth season, is now in 25 percent of the country.

The List is growing its reach. The E.W. Scripps Company's syndicated news magazine will now be available in 44 markets, expanding its footprint to more than 25 percent of the country.

Now in its fifth season, the series (and its corresponding mobile app and website) airs on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox affiliates in a variety of day parts — with a weekend edition kicking off on Sept. 17. Perviously, The List only aired on Scripps-owned channels.

The news coincides with the addition of E! News and Inside Edition veteran Kristina Guerrero. She joins Bradley Hasemeyer, Donna Ruko and Teresa Strasser.

“The List has evolved over time and thanks to the creativity and flexibility of the team, the show is beginning to realize its full potential,” said Scripps SVP of broadcasting Brian Lawlor. "It’s informative and entertaining and is drawing big numbers in our markets. Now other media companies recognize its appeal.”

The List expands its reach at an especially competitive time for syndicated news magazines. In addition to veterans like Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, Access Hollywood and TMZ on TV, there are a slew of younger offerings and potential additions. Fox's Page Six TV recently ended a summer test run.
