Ex-ELO member Mike Edwards dies
Musician's van collides with hay bale in freak accidentMike Edwards, a former member of the band Electric Light Orchestra, died last Friday in the U.K. The 62-year-old musician, who played cello in the hit-making British progressive rock band from 1972 through 1975, suffered a fatal freak accident when his vehicle collided with a 1,300 pound bale of hay that had rolled down a hill and into the road Edwards was traveling.
Edwards co-founded ELO in the 1970s. The band, whose most popular hits include "Evil Woman" and "Telephone Line," released 11 albums and sold over 50 million records.
