Laura Abele has been promoted to senior vp marketing at New Line Home Entertainment. She will be responsible for the marketing of the company's next-generation high-definition releases as well as theatrical and catalog product. Abele, who has been with New Line since 1998, was with the American Society of Employers and the Employers Group in Los Angeles.



Marlea Willis has been named vp public relations at Voom HD Networks, where she will oversee consumer press activities for the network and help establish global brand perception. She was senior director of public relations at AMC and WEtv.



Tishan Waymire has been appointed vp branded entertainment and new business for Telepictures Prods. Waymire will oversee new business development initiatives, product integration and sponsorship opportunities with the network's current slate. Waymire was director of branded entertainment and strategy at TiVo.



Lisa Schwartz has joined Sophoi as vp global marketing for Business Rights and Royalty Management software. Schwartz was industry director for media and entertainment at Oracle.



Kelleigh Dulany has been named vp public responsibility at Comedy Central and Spike TV. Dulany will oversee pro-social and diversity initiatives for both networks. Before she joined Comedy Central in 2000, Dulany was director of promotions and retail strategic marketing at Discovery Networks.



Industry veteran Rio Gabriel-Cyrus has been appointed vp marketing at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, where he will oversee marketing of newly acquired products including theatrical features, branded kids' properties and Fox Faith titles. Gabriel-Cyrus was executive director marketing at Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

Fox Interactive Media has tapped Jack Kennedy executive vp strategy and corporate development. Kennedy, who was manager of corporate development for Fox Network Group's business development organization, will help grow business strategies and oversee the division's mergers and acquisitions.

Universal Motown Records has named Tracey Zamot senior vp publicity and media relations, where she will oversee the development and implementation of strategies. Zamot was vp publicity at Virgin Records.



Michelle Parker has been upped to vp business and legal affairs, programming, at Starz Entertainment, where she will handle those sectors for the company's pay television and Internet programming. Parker was executive director business affairs, programming.
