Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group has tapped Brown Johnson for the newly created position of president of animation. Johnson was executive vp, creative director, at Nickelodeon Preschool, GM of Noggin and the driving force behind Nick Jr.'s "play to learn" philosophy and hit shows "Blue's Clues" and "Dora the Explorer." In her new position, she will oversee the development and production for all animated programming across the network. She reports to Cyma Zarghami, president of Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group.



Bob Bel Bruno has been tapped as vp advertising sales at AMC. Bel Bruno, who was national sales manager at TV Guide Network, will oversee ad sales for the New York region and develop and execute marketing strategies. He will report to Bill Rosolie, executive vp national ad sales at AMC.



Michael Henry has been named senior vp advertising sales at z, where he will lead the company's national sales team in developing advertising solutions. He most recently was vp at Dow Jones' integrated corporate sales and marketing division.



Chuck Dages has been upped to executive vp emerging technology at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group. He will continue to oversee motion picture imaging and the advanced media editorial department while leading projects related to repurposing the studio's entertainment assets. Dages was executive vp emerging technology at Warner Bros. Technical Operations.



JTN Prods. has named David Bubis executive vp and Mike DeWitt vp nonfiction production. Bubis will be responsible for JTN's fundraising, strategic planning and community relations as well as the development of the board of directors. DeWitt will oversee nonfiction production for the independent company known for creating quality entertainment with a Jewish sensibility. Bubis most recently was an independent fundraising consultant, and DeWitt was a documentary filmmaker.



Rainbow Media has tapped Jason Zegel as vp special projects and operations. He will be responsible for day-to-day and long-term operations for creative services at AMC, IFC, WE tv and the Voom networks (including budget and production/postproduction administration) and special projects, providing service to affiliate marketing and ad sales. Zegel, who was director of production and operations at Rainbow Media, will report to Rob Battles, senior vp creative services at Rainbow.



Chris Wong has been named president and CEO at PathConnect, a next-generation interactive media company for established brands. Wong will be responsible for leading the growth of PathConnect and leveraging online social networking technology and member-generated content. Wong was senior vp applications at Oracle.



Digitalsmiths has tapped William Stratton as COO and Petra Weishaupt-Smith as CFO. Stratton was vp business development at Turner Broadcasting System. Weishaupt-Smith was CFO of A4 Health Systems, an electronic medical records software company.
