Facebook Experiences Second Outage in One Week
The social media site was also down for less than 30 minutes on Sept. 24.
Facebook suffered an outage for the second time in one week on Monday — the third time this month.
The social media site went down approximately 3 p.m. ET, according to Newsweek, and experienced issues for roughly one hour. The second outage came just a few days after the site shut down for several minutes on Sept. 24. Users were redirected to a page that read, "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can."
Many of Facebook's 1 billion active users took to Twitter to express their frustrations and unleash a few jokes during the hour period using the hashtag #facebookdown. See the reactions below:
