Fall TV Scorecard: How the Studios Did
THR looks at how they all stack up now that upfronts are over and schedules are set.
Upfronts are over, schedules are set and THR is analyzing how many TV series the Hollywood studios sold to the “Big 5” broadcast networks. (Numbers below are for scripted projects only and include co-productions.)
10 | Warner Bros. TV Only studio to land new shows on all five networks, which takes the sting out of NBC passing on Wonder Woman.
10 | 20th Century Fox TV Another big broadcast year, led by Tim Allen’s ABC comedy and dramas Awake, Touch and Terra Nova.
8 | ABC Studios Supplied shows to its sister network as well as the CW’s Ringer, though it is taking a less active role on that one.
8 | Universal Media Studios UMS only supplied shows to its sister network, NBC. But that is still a lucrative business.
7 | CBS Television Studios Six drama pickups between CBS and the CW, plus CBS laffer How to Be a Gentleman.
3 | Sony Pictures Television With a strategic push into broadcast drama, Sony got three of its four drama pilots picked up.
