Fandango Adds Three More Theater Chains
The ticketing service has reached a deal with Harkins Theatres, Digiplex Destinations and Premiere Cinemas.
Fandango is now providing online ticketing services for three more theater chains, it was announced Thursday.
The service has reached a deal with Harkins Theatres, Digiplex Destinations and Premiere Cinemas.
The pact brings Fandango's services to an additional 1,000 screens in a dozen states including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
“We are thrilled to work with Harkins, Digiplex and Premiere to help them reach even more moviegoers through our expanding online and mobile ticketing platforms, and ultimately grow their businesses,” Fandango president Paul Yanover said in a statement.
Fandango now represents roughly 85 percent of the nation’s theaters with online and mobile ticketing.
Harkins Theatres is the nation's largest independently owned theater chain and the fifth-largest chain in the U.S., operating 30 theaters across five states.
Digiplex is a leader in digital cinema deployment and alternative programming. Premiere Cinema Corp is among the largest independently owned motion picture exhibitors in the U.S. and one of the top 20 largest chains in North America, according to the National Association of Theatre Owners.
