Fandango Hires Marketing and Communications Executives
The Comcast-owned company adds former Disney executives Adam Rockmore and Dana Henry Benson to its ranks.
Fandango, the movie-ticketing service owned by Comcast's NBCUniversal, has beefed up its ranks with the hiring of a couple of former Walt Disney Co. executives.
The firm said Monday it has hired Adam Rockmore as its vp of marketing. Last week, Fandango said it hired Dana Henry Benson as its executive director of communications.
Rockmore reports to Fandango president Paul Yanover while Benson reports to Yanover and Lenore Moritz, vp of communications for digital and integrated media for NBCUniversal's Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media.
Rockmore spent several years with Disney, most recently as senior vp of marketing for ABC Daytime and SOAPnet, and he was also senior vp of marketing at ABC News. Before that, he was an executive with Food Network and Scripps Networks.
Benson was most recently with Disney Interactive, where she led communications efforts for properties like Disney.com, DisneyFamily.com and Babble.com. Before that she had been an executive with Mattel, Hasbro, Broderbund Software and Edelman Worldwide.
In announcing the hiring of the two new executives, Yanover said Fandango, a 12-year-old company, had a record-setting month in November, though he would not share sales figures.
