Fashion Month: 10 Doppelgangers on the Runways

From C-3PO to Big Bird, we couldn't help but notice that some of the fall 2015 runway ensembles looked a lot like things we've seen before.

The madness that is fashion month is enough to drive anyone crazy. With shows, appointments and parties to attend in four different cities across the globe, there's not much room on the schedule for sleep.

Blame it on the fuzzy-headedness from so many long days and late nights, but we couldn’t help but notice that some of the looks coming down the runways in New York, London, Milan and Paris looked a little familiar. In between the drool-worthy ensembles that made us giddy for fall shopping sprees, we had also had visions of C-3PO, George Washington and Edward Scissorhands.

1. Rick Owens and C-3PO (seen above)

Owens' gold foil-covered models brought to mind the beloved Star Wars robot.

Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie's oversize topper and shapeless coat were evocative of Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter costume.

Layers upon layers of caramel-colored fringe reminded us of the Addams Family's Cousin Itt — minus the bowler hat.

The canary yellow feathers bring only one fella to mind. Big Bird.

5. Moschino and Bob the Builder

Moschino's brightly colored overalls and sunny yellow cap are certainly a sartorial match for our favorite handyman's chic work ensemble.

With perfectly messy hair, pale makeup and the hint of a frown, Alexander McQueen's moody runway show had us thinking about our favorite lonely character, Edward Scissorhands.

7. Moncler Gamme Rouge and a Buckingham Palace Guard

Red coat? Check. Furry black hat? Check. Black Boots? Check.
