Fatality on Wilshire Blvd; Cops Say Man Accidentally Shot Father
The shooter called police, an LAPD spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter.
A man accidentally shot his father inside a residence on Wilshire Boulevard Thursday morning, killing him, police told The Hollywood Reporter.
A spokesperson for the LAPD said the shooter called 911 around 11:06 a.m., reporting the accident. Four squad cars are currently parked on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Masselin Ave., next door to THR's offices. A fire truck and an ambulance are also parked on the corner.
No arrests have yet been made. The LAPD representative said the call did not appear to be a prank.
