Fenady upped at Universal
EmptyUniversal Pictures has promoted Andrew Fenady to the position of president, physical production. Fenady replaces long-time physical production head James Brubaker, who chose not to renew his contract and will move into a senior advisory role with the company.
Fenady, reporting to Universal co-president of production and executive vp Jimmy Horowitz, will oversee physical production, including formulation of production plans, budgeting, scheduling, hiring crews and managing day-to-day operations.
Fenady has previously overseen physical production for such Universal films as "The Bourne Ultimatum," "Knocked Up," "Miami Vice," "Children of Men," "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "The Bourne Supremacy." He joined Universal in June 2000 as director, physical production, rising through the ranks, and became co-president of physical production in October 2007.
