Festival de Cannes Announces Cinefondation and Short Films Jury Members

Directors Julie Gayet, Jessica Hausner, Corneliu Porumboiu and Joao Pedro Rodrigues are set to join President Michel Gondry.

PARIS -- French director Michel Gondry will welcome fellow Cinefondation and Short Films Jury members Julie Gayet, Jessica Hausner, Corneliu Porumboiu and Joao Pedro Rodrigues, Festival de Cannes organizers announced on Wednesday.

French actress and producer Gayet will join Austrian director and producer Hausner, Romanian director Porumboiu and Portugese director Rogrigues plus jury president Gondry to choose first, second and third prize winners from sixteen films in the Cinefondation's 2011 selection.

The jury will give out the prestigious awards during a ceremony in the Salle Bunuel on May 20 complete with a screening of the winning films.

Gondry's team will also choose the winner of the Palme d'Or for best short film awarded during the fest's traditional closing ceremonies on May 22.
