Festival PR Doyenne Expands Firm by Hiring International Veteran

PR Works International has hired publicist Melody Monfreda, whose resume boasts the international campaigns for the "Twilight" saga, to ramp up London and Rome operations.

L.A. and London based entertainment and corporate publicity agency PR Works International has hired veteran film publicist Melody Monfreda, whose resume boasts the international campaigns for the Twilight saga, as director of international film publicity.

Monfreda, who will report directly to PR Works International founder and CEO Alyson Dewar, will head up the European offices based in both London and Rome, overseeing international film campaigns, tours, film festivals and corporate campaigns in conjunction with the Los Angeles office.

Monfreda's hire signals PR Works' growing European presence. She is a familiar face on the international film festival circuit and will oversee movie launches in Cannes, Venice, Rome, Berlin and Toronto.

Dewar said: "Her unmatched network of contacts with both press and industry will be a wonderful asset to the company in supporting the goals of our clients and providing the personalized attention that we at PR Works always strive for."

Prior to PR Works, Monfreda worked at DDA Public Relations in London and subsequently as an independent consultant for agencies in Europe and North America.

At the 2014 Cannes International Film Festival, PR Works is handling international publicity for a slew of high-profile titles, including Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, David Michod's The Rover and Ryan Gosling's directorial debut The Lost River in Un Certain Regard.

PR Works International corporate clients include David Garrett's Mister Smith Entertainment and Glen Basner's FilmNation.
