FICCI FRAMES to Feature James Murdoch, Taylor Hackford
The annual event will be held in Mumbai March 23-25.
MUMBAI -- The 12th FICCI FRAMES annual entertainment convention will feature prominent speakers such as James Murdoch and Taylor Hackford, president of the Director's Guild of America.
FRAMES is organized annually in Mumbai by the industry organization FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) and this year's event will be held March 23-25.
The B2B event also offers a networking opportunity for international and Indian players covering all aspects of the business, from co-productions and screenwriting workshops to VFX, digital and new media interactions. A game developers workshop will be held March 23 jointly organized by FICCI and NASSCOM (National Association of Software Service Companies). Established in 2004, the FICCI BAF (Best Animated Frames) Award will honor animation, VFX and gaming content.
FRAMES will also feature sessions by executives including Sony Pictures Entertainment CTO Mitch Singer, FremantleMedia regional CEO, Europe and Asia Pacific, Simon Spalding and Turner Broadcasting Systems, Asia Pacific Inc., chief content officer Mark Eyers.
Leading Indian speakers will include New Delhi Television chairman Prannoy Roy, India Today group chairman and editor Aroon Purie and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India chairman Dr. J. S. Sarma.
FRAMES will also feature a master class The Secrets Behind Pixar's Magic by screenwriter David Freeman.
Hollywood VFX director Michael Fink (The Golden Compass, X-Men) will also address a session on visual effects.
