Film Arcade, Inception Media Pick Up 'Spinning Plates'
Joseph Levy's documentary, which goes behind-the-scenes at several restaurants, will be released theatrically in October.
The Film Arcade and Inception Media Group have acquired Joseph Levy’s documentary Spinning Plates, which looks at the operations of three different restaurants.
Film Arcade will release the film theatrically Oct. 25 with Inception handling domestic ancillary distribution. LevelFILM will distribute in Canada, and GEI's Richard S. Guardian has acquired international distribution rights.
Written and directed by Levy, the film was produced and co-financed by Miranda Bailey and Matthew Leutwyler at Ambush Entertainment, Levy at Chaos Theory and Phil Rosenthal, who executive produced. Jacqueline Lesko also served as producer with Sim Sarna and Taz Goldstein as executive producers.
"Spinning Plates is a terrific movie, one that will win over anyone with a passion for either film or food,” said Andy Reimer, partner at Inception Media Group. "Movie enthusiasts who also like to go out to eat may well discover their favorite movie of the year."
