RYAN WANTS HIS MGM

Former MTV Films exec Luke Ryan has joined MGM as vp theatrical production. He will acquire material for the studio as well as have a hand in the development and production of forthcoming MGM features. On Ryan's immediate agenda are the "RoboCop" and "Red Dawn" remakes and the Drew Goddard-Joss Whedon thriller "Cabin in the Woods."

KATZENBERG IN 3-D

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg will discuss 3-D at the upcoming International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam. The twist: He will be in Los Angeles and broadcast live — and in 3-D — to the audience. This is expected to be the first time that a transatlantic interview has been carried out in the stereoscopic format. The confab runs Sept. 11-16.

PAR LICENSES GAGERMAN

Ryan Gagerman has been named vp international licensing at Paramount's consumer products and recreation group, where he will report to president Michael Corcoran. In the new position, Gagerman will oversee the division's licensing sales activities in foreign markets. Alex Schondorf, manager of international licensing, will continue in his role and now report to Gagerman.
