MEHTA GETS LMU HONORS

Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and TV will honor Deepa Mehta with its Infinite Power of Story Lifetime Achievement Award at the Film Outside the Frame Festival on Oct. 13.

ADG FETES SYLBERT

Fifty-year production design veteran Paul Sylbert, who won an Academy Award for his work on 1978's "Heaven Can Wait," will receive the Art Directors Guild lifetime achievement award. The award will be presented Feb. 14 at the 13th annual ADG Awards at the Beverly Hilton.

GUYS, TAKE A BREAK

Break Media is set to launch a Web site today that targets men and is devoted to TV and film, with NBC on board as a sponsor. ScreenJunkies.com will provide news and reviews and feature a user-generated rating system. At launch, it will run a promotion for NBC's "Knight Rider."

CSA HONORS

The Casting Society of America will honor producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron with its career achievement award Nov. 10 at its 24th annual Artios Awards in Century City.

BANCK AT INNOVATIVE

Veteran production and below-the-line agent Cecilia Banck has joined Innovative Artists after a nine-year stint at Mirisch. She brings with her such clients as cinematographers John C. Flinn III, Dennis Hall and Gordon Lonsdale.
