NOLFI 'BOURNE' AGAIN

Universal has tapped scribe George Nolfi to pen the fourth installment of the studio's multimillion-dollar Jason Bourne franchise. Nolfi co-wrote 2007's "The Bourne Ultimatum" with Scott Z. Burns and the story's creator Tony Gilroy. While the Bourne trilogy were adapted from Robert Ludlum's books, the fourth will be based on an original story. Paul Greengrass, who directed the last two Bourne films, and Matt Damon are also attached.

TAG TEAM BACK AGAIN

Summit is taking another ride with "Sex Drive" creators Sean Anders and John Morris, signing the duo for a new comedy. The untitled project centers on a slacker college student forced to care for a baby after a one-night stand. Both will write the film, with Anders directing and Morris producing.

TIFF 'RED' AND GREEN

The Tokyo International Film Festival will begin Saturday with Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tony Leung Chiu Wai, stars of John Woo's historical epic "Red Cliff," walking a "green" carpet of recycled plastic in support of the environmental theme of the event's 21st edition. Organizers hope TIFF's timely Earth-friendly focus, increased registration and splashy opening screening will help the event make its mark, sandwiched as it is between Pusan and AFM and overlapping with the Rome International Film Festival. TIFF runs through Oct. 26. For more news, go to THR.com/festivals.
