OFF AND 'running'

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson will play a loan shark in Alex de Rakoff's London gangland movie "Dead Man Running," which began shooting Wednesday. Jackson joins a cast that includes Tamer Hassan, Danny Dyer, Brenda Blethyn and Monet Mazur. The film is produced by Nicholas "Pikki" Fearon and co-produced by Alan Latham.

CRAYON CREW

Animation company Exodus Film Group has made several new deals for its cartoon crayon tale "The Hero of Color City." The firm has pacted with Simon & Schuster for a publishing deal to complement the feature and has signed Rosie Perez, Craig Ferguson and Arsenio Hall to voice characters in the film. "Color" is slated for a 2010 release from Magnolia.

MOB SCENE

Los Angeles-based advertising and content production company Mob Scene Creative + Prods. opened a New York location and welcomed Ben Coplon and Jason Rein to its staff. Coplon will run the New York office. Rein has been named creative director of Mob Scene's digital content unit.

MOSZKOWICZ STICKS

Martin Moszkowicz has extended his contract as head of production at Constantin Film through 2013, ensuring continuity at the German mini-major.
