FILM CLIPS II
EmptyVERHOEVEN reunion could include 'Erfolg'
Director Paul Verhoeven intends to reunite with Dutch producer Rob Houwer, with whom he made his first features "Turkish Delight" and "Soldier of Orange." Houwer said the pair has several productions in mind, including an adaptation of the novel "Erfolg" by Lion Feuchtwanger. The love story will have a budget of about €35 million ($44 million), which would make it the most expensive Dutch film of all time.
TRIO IN 'DROOL' POOL
Laura Harring, Jill Marie Jones and Oded Fehr are teaming for writer-director Nancy Kissam's dark comedy "Drool," winner of the 2006 Slamdance screenplay competition. The Paradigm/Leverage Management-repped Harring plays an abused wife whose plan to escape with a friend (Innovative/Elements Entertainment-repped Jones) goes awry when she accidentally kills her husband (IFA/RMG-repped Fehr), leading the pair to drive the body cross-country.
