TRIO 'SUCK' IT UP

Malcolm McDowell, Jessica Pare and Dave Foley have joined the cast for the Canadian vampire horror comedy "Suck," from writer-director Rob Stefaniuk. The indie film about rock 'n' roll wannabes in search of fame and vampires begins production Nov. 24 in Toronto.

'GOMORRA' EYES OSCAR

Matteo Garrone's organized crime thriller "Gomorra" is moving its U.S. release date to December in order to make it eligible for Oscar consideration in categories other than best foreign-language film, the Italian press reported Wednesday. The plan is for the film to go into limited release in December, which would make it eligible in other Oscar categories.

FOX in command

Richard Fox, Warner Bros. executive vp international, will receive the honorary title of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic on Monday during a ceremony at Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's office in Rome.

GLUCK HAS IT 'EASY'

Writer-director Will Gluck is set to helm his fourth project with Sony's Screen Gems with the high school comedy "Easy A."

CINEVEGAS SET

The 11th annual CineVegas Film Festival, held at the Palms Casino Resort and Brenden Theatres in Las Vegas, will run from June 11-20. Submissions will be accepted from Dec. 1- March 1 through the submissions system at Withoutabox.com.
