Film editor Derek Brechin dies

Worked on 'Die Hard,' 'Bourne Ultimatum' and 'Iron Man'

Derek Brechin, a film editor in Hollywood for almost three decades, died Nov. 6 of heart failure in Glendale, Calif. He was 57.

Brechin worked on the editing teams for such films as "Die Hard" (1988), "Basic Instinct" (1992), "Breakdown" (1997), "Romeo Must Die" (2000), "Paycheck" (2003), "The Bourne Ultimatum" (2007), "Iron Man" (2008) and this year's "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li."
