Fiona Apple Reveals Cover Art, Release Date, Track List For First Album in 7 Years
"The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Words Will Ever Do" (yes, that's the actual title) will be released in June, the elusive singer-songwriter announced on Facebook.
Following a seven-year hiatus, elusive singer-songwriter Fiona Apple announced the release date for her new album on Facebook. The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Words Will Ever Do will hit retailers on June 19.

The 10-track album will be her fourth full-length studio effort since bursting onto the music scene with 1996's Tidal. Apple drew the abstract cover art herself, which she shared with fans on Monday, April 2, along with an assortment of videos from her recent shows at South By Southwest and beyond.
Her last album, Extraordinary Machine, was released in October 2005.
