Five in running for Orange Rising Star Award
Eisenberg, Hoult, Mulligan, Rahim, Stewart vie for nodLONDON -- Jesse Eisenberg, Nicholas Hoult, Carey Mulligan, Tahar Rahim and Kristen Stewart are the names vying for public affection to secure this year's Orange Rising Star Award 2010 dished out during the Orange British Academy Film Awards.
The only British Academy Film Award voted on by the public, the rising star nod will be presented during the shindig on Feb. 21.
Whoever wins joins an impressive list of previous vox pop winners for the nod, now in its fifth year with James McAvoy in 2006, Eva Green in 2007, Shia LaBeouf in 2008 and Noel Clarke last year all picking it up.
Eisenberg's credits include "The Squid And The Whale," "Adventureland" and "Zombieland." Hoult is a familiar face after his big screen breakout "About A Boy" and subsequent roles in "A Single Man" and upcoming "Clash of The Titans."
Mulligan is already drawing heat after her turn in "An Education," garnering myriad nominations and winning an independent film award best actress nod late last year.
Rahim lit up the screen in Jacques Audiard's Palme d'Or winner "A Prophet" and will next be seen in "The Eagle of The Ninth" while Stewart can do no wrong after her turns in the "Twilight" franchise as Bella Swan.
