Five wing their way to roles in network pilots

Donald Faison has joined Cedric the Entertainer in ABC's comedy pilot "The Law," Ben Koldyke has landed a lead in CBS' comedy pilot "Big D," Mischa Barton has boarded the CW's drama pilot "A Beautiful Life," Joel Gretsch has come aboard ABC's drama pilot "V" and Natalie Martinez is set to co-star in Fox's comedy pilot "Sons of Tucson."

"Law" revolves around reserve LAPD officers, two of them played by Cedric and Faison, who is repped by UTA and Rigberg Entertainment.

On "Big D," a New York couple moves to the husband's (Koldyke) hometown of Dallas.

"Life" revolves around models living together in New York. Paradigm-repped Barton will play Sonja, a supermodel and veteran of the high-fashion circuit who is struggling to keep on top.

On "V," about an alien invasion, Gretsch will play a Catholic priest who sees a renaissance of faith after the Visitors arrive. He is repped by APA and Mosaic.

"Tucson" centers on Ron (Tyler Labine), who is hired by three boys to act as their father. Martinez, repped by Innovative and manager Sean Fay, will play a schoolteacher and a potential love interest for Ron. (partialdiff)
