'The Flash' U.K. Debut on Sky 1 Draws 630,000 Viewers

In its U.K. debut on Tuesday night, CW hit show The Flash drew an audience of 629,200 for a share of 2.9 percent of U.K. homes watching TV at the time, according to overnight data.
Ratings consultancy Attentional, citing the data for the DC Comics show, which aired in the 8 p.m. slot on U.K. pay TV giant BSkyB's flagship network Sky 1, said the audience came in "well above the slot benchmark."
A Sky 1 representative said, "We're delighted our customers are enjoying The Flash."
In the U.S., the superhero show has become The CW’s most successful series ever. Including online streaming, the series premiere was viewed more than 13 million times, with a consolidated live-plus-seven-day TV audience of 6.8 million.
Meanwhile, fellow DC Comics series Gotham, which in the U.S. airs on Fox, has continued to draw well over 1 million viewers on Viacom's Channel 5. The first episode drew an average audience of 1.7 million, excluding a second airing on the Channel 5+1 network right after the premiere, which added 400,000 additional viewers. Year-to-date, Channel 5 is averaging 1.3 million viewers in the time slot, or 1.5 million when including the +1 audience.

The comic book drama's second episode reached about 1.35 million viewers, with this Monday's third episode reaching about 1.5 million viewers in the overnight ratings.
Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox owns a 39 percent stake in BSkyB.
