'Flight's' Kelly Reilly, Pulitzer Prize-Winner Tracy Letts Join Indie 'Love Is Strange' (Exclusive)

Kelly Reilly (Flight) and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tracy Letts (August: Osage County) have joined the cast of the indie drama Love Is Strange.

Directed by Independent Spirit Award nominee Ira Sachs (Keep the Lights On), the film also stars Michael Gambon and Alfred Molina.

Production is scheduled to begin in the summer in New York.

Reilly and Letts play a married Park Slope couple whose relationship is unsettled when an elderly uncle (Gambon) is forced to move in with them.

Sachs also is a producer of Love Is Strange along with Parts & Labor partners Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy.

Reilly recently starred as a recovering addict and love interest of Denzel Washington in Flight and can also be seen in A Single Shot, which recently premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. She became the youngest-ever Olivier Award nominee in the best actress category when she was nominated in 2004 for her performance in After Miss Julie.

The Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of August: Osage County, Letts can is on Broadway in Steppenwolf’s production of Edward Albee’s Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Letts wrote the screenplay adaptations of Killer Joe, starring Matthew McConaughey and Emile Hirsch, as well as the Ashley Judd-toplined Bug. He also wrote the screenplay for director John Wells' film adaptation of August: Osage County, set for release in the fall.
