Foreign-film student Oscar finalists set

Five finalists selected from a record 49 entries representing 33 foreign countries will compete for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 2007 honorary foreign-film award at the 34th Annual Student Academy Awards competition, which culminates in a June 9 awards presentation in Beverly Hills. The finalists are Michael Dreher of Germany for "Fair Trade"; Marc Brummund of Germany for "Gaining Ground"; Lourens Blok of the Netherlands for "Love, Death & Air Guitar"; Michaela Kezele of Serbia for "Milan"; and Toke Constantin Hebbeln of Germany for "Nevermore."
