Foster set for THR's Lansing Award
EmptyJodie Foster will receive the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter's 16th annual Women in Entertainment Power 100 Breakfast on Dec. 4 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The award, whose past recipients include Barbara Walters and Meryl Streep, is presented to women who have been pioneers in the entertainment industry.
"Jodie Foster is a multi-nominated and award-winning actress, a director and a television and film producer who continues to be at the top of her game," said John Kilcullen, publisher of The Hollywood Reporter. "Throughout her successful career, from a child actor to a highly influential actress, director and producer, Jodie has consistently maintained a sensibility and quality that is not easily sustained in this industry. She clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that this award was created to honor."
The Women in Entertainment Breakfast, presented by Lifetime Networks and St. John Knits, coincides each year with The Reporter's publication of the "Power 100: Women in Entertainment" special issue, which spotlights the most most influential women in the industry.
