THR EXCLUSIVEBig Momma's family is growing.
Faizon Love, Emily Rios, Portia Doubleday and Michelle Ang have been cast in Fox's "Big Momma's House" threequel opposite Martin Lawrence.
Brandon T. Jackson ("Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief") and Jessica Lucas ("Cloverfield") already have been cast in the third installment -- now titled "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son" -- of Lawrence's FBI-agent-in-drag franchise, which has grossed more than $310 million worldwide. New Regency is financing and producing.
"Big Momma's House 2" director John Whitesell also is helming the new project, from a script by Matthew Fogel and Randi Mayem Singer. David T. Friendly again is producing via his Friendly Films.
In the latest story line, Big Momma (Lawrence) and Charmaine (Jackson) go undercover at an all-girls performing-arts school to unmask a murderer. Love will play Kurtis Kool, a school security guard and former Run-D.M.C. roadie who becomes smitten with Big Momma. Rios, Doubleday and Ang will play students at the school who befriend Jackson's character.
The film begins shooting this month in Atlanta at the private, all-girls Agnes Scott College.
The Fortitude-repped Love next appears in the Warner Bros. comedy "Life as We Know It," which hits theaters in December. Rios, repped by Fortitude and Kass & Stokes Management, next appears in the Taylor Hackford-directed drama "Love Ranch."
Doubleday, repped by IFA Talent Agency, recently co-starred in "Youth in Revolt." Ang, repped by Karen Kay Management, next will appear in the Jodie Foster-directed drama "The Beaver."
