Four Seasons Los Angeles Debuts 38-Seat Private Screening Room
A new player is entering the movie screenings business.
The Four Seasons is officially in the movie business.
The Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills has just announced the debut of the Screening Room, a private theater located adjacent to the property's marquee restaurant, Culina. It features 38 plush recliner chairs (with retractable tables and armrests), a drop-down 14-foot HD wide screen and 3-D projector, and a Klipsch Pro-THX Surround System.
The boutique theater is scheduled to launch on June 27 and is available to rent starting at $2,500. Private screening rooms are big business in Los Angeles, especially during the frenetic awards season. So it's no surprise that the Four Seasons, which has long dominated the press junket market in the area, has jumped into the game to compete with other local hotels that offer private screening rooms, such as London West Hollywood.
But what's a movie theater without concessions? Italian Chef de Cuisine Denis Dello Stritto from Culina will create "elevated" snacks and beverages for the Screening Room. Expected on the soon-to-launch menu are truffle popcorn and French fries, champagne, fresh juices, house-made churros and pastries. Customized menus and events are also available.
“We are excited to create a Screening Room to continue our legacy as Hollywood’s living room and enhance our guest experience for press film junkets and other corporate events,” said the hotel's general manager, Michael Newcombe.
