Fox Brings Aboard Film Marketing Execs Joseph Epstein, Heather Phillips
Phillips previously worked at Miramax and Walden Media, while Epstein did stints at Digital Broadcasting Group and Sony.
20th Century Fox has made two key hires in its film marketing division, bringing aboard Joseph Epstein as senior vp digital strategy and Heather Johnson Phillips as senior vp publicity.
Both will report to executive vp marketing Debbie Miller.
Epstein previously served as chief marketing officer at Digital Broadcasting Group, including pitching and launching the original YouTube channel Spaces. Before that, he was vp digital marketing at Sony.
Philips began her career at Miramax Films, where she was vp national theatrical publicity, overseeing films including Chicago, The Aviator and Frida.
Her arrival on the Fox lot marks a return to the studio, where she previously worked in publicity. She next became vp worldwide marketing at Walden Media, where she guided films including Waiting for Superman and The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Most recently, Phillips oversaw marketing, digital solutions and business development for the creative advertising agency Aspect Ratio.
"These two positions are integral to the overall success of our department, and I’m happy to welcome two outstanding executives to the 20th Century Fox family," Miller said.
