Fox dominates with reality heavyweights

NEW YORK -- Fox won Wednesday night's primetime.

The netork won every half-hour between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the adults 18-49 demographic, first with the 90-minute "So You Think You Can Dance" (8 million, 3.0/9) and then at 9:30 p.m. with "Don't Forget the Lyrics" (7.4 million, 2.8/8).

ABC took the 8 p.m. hour in viewership with "The Next Best Thing" (7.1 million, 1.9/7) then came in behind Fox at 9 p.m. and NBC and CBS at 10 p.m. with a two-hour "American Inventor" (6.1 million, 2.0/6). NBC had better luck with "Last Comic Standing" (6.3 million, 2.5/8), while a repeat "Criminal Minds" (7.6 million, 1.8/6) won that hour in viewership.

The 10 p.m. hour went to "CSI: NY" (8 million, 2.1/6) in viewership and "Dateline: NBC" (7.2 million, 2.8/9) in adults 18-49.

Wednesday averages: Fox (7.6 million, 2.9/10); CBS (6.8 million, 1.8/6); ABC (6.4 million, 2.0/6); NBC (6.3 million, 2.4/8); and the CW (1.7 million, 0.7/2).
