Fox Latin has 'Cholera' rights covered

Fox Latin America nabbed all Latin American rights to Stone Village Pictures' "Love in the Time of Cholera," Mike Newell's film version of Gabriel Garcia Marquez' novel, which has been adapted for the screen by Ronald Harwood.

Fox is planning a December holiday release for the film in Central and South American territories, following its Nov. 16 stateside release by New Line Cinema. Ray Strache, director of acquisitions for Fox, brought the title to Fox fold while Summit Entertainment handled international sales.

The film will have its world premiere in early October at the Rio International Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
