Fox Look, Hasbro Studios partner

Family Game Night, Pictureka! first brands both will focus on

NEW YORK -- Fox Look, a new unit of Fox Networks Group that focuses on the international licensing and production of unscripted content, is getting the exclusive rights to represent the game-show and unscripted TV entertainment output of toy giant Hasbro's Hasbro Studios, the companies unveiled Tuesday.

Family Game Night and Pictureka! will be the first two Hasbro brands that the partners will focus on under the deal.

Fox Look will be responsible for the international distribution of unscripted content based on such Hasbro brands as Monopoly, Twister, Funglish, Catch Phrase, Mousetrap and Trivial Pursuit. And it will work with Hasbro Studios to identify strong performers, such as Connect 4 and Boggle, for potential original game and programming opportunities in the international market, the companies said.

The two partners will launch their relationship at MIPCOM, which starts on Monday.

Finn Arnesen, Hasbro Studios' senior vp of international distribution and development, will continue to sell Hasbro's animation and scripted live-action series.

"In view of Hasbro's unrivalled credentials in family and children's entertainment, securing this agreement was a major coup for Fox Look," said David Lyle, president of Fox Look.

Said Hasbro Studios president Stephen Davis: "David and his team are very skillful at distributing branded content globally and have a successful track record setting up local format production throughout the world, two key factors in our decision."
