Cavuto has been off the air since May 31.

Neil Cavuto, an anchor for Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, is recovering from open heart surgery.

“Neil Cavuto had open heart surgery yesterday and came through it with flying colors," a Fox News spokesperson told The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday. "Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery.”

Cavuto, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1997, had the operation Monday at a New York City hospital.

He hosts a trio of shows on the news and business channels — Fox News' Your World With Neil Cavuto, Cavuto on Business and Fox Business' Cavuto: Coast to Coast —  and has been off the air since May 31.
