Fox Searchlight Int'l Ups Rebecca Kearey to Exec VP

In her new role, Kearey continues to be responsible for the marketing and distribution of all Searchlight titles, as well as for all titles from Fox International Prods.

CANNES -- Longtime Fox Searchlight International marketing maven Rebecca Kearey has been promoted to executive vp international marketing and distribution for 20th Century Fox.

Kearey’s most recent efforts at Searchlight International, where she was a senior vp, include Black Swan, which has earned more than $200 million at the foreign box office, and 127 Hours, a success internationally.

In her new role, Kearey continues to be responsible for the marketing and distribution of all Searchlight titles, as well as for all titles from Fox International Prods.

Kearey will report to Fox International co-presidents Paul Hanneman and Tomas Jegeus, and Fox Searchlight presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley.

“We are thrilled to recognize Rebecca’s tremendous achievements on both the Searchlight International and Fox International Productions lineups. Rebecca has consistently raised the bar on our campaigns and box office results, and we are fortunate to have an executive of her caliber on our team,” Hanneman and Jegeus said.

Since 2005, Kearey has overseen the marketing and distribution of some of Searchlight’s most successful titles. In addition to Black Swan, they include Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, Notes on a Scandal and The Last King of Scotland.

She began marketing titles from Fox International Prods. last year.
