Fox unit earns license for Walden films
Walden Media is teaming with 20th Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising as its worldwide licensing agent for Walden films. The pact covers future properties for both Walden and sister company Bristol Bay Prods., both divisions of Anschutz Film Group. Under the deal, Fox Licensing will develop licensed merchandise and retail programs for films produced by Walden, best known for such family films as "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," "Charlotte's Web" and "Bridge to Terabithia." Upcoming projects for which Fox Licensing is developing programs include "The Dark Is Rising," "Nim's Island," "City of Ember" and "Tortoise and Hippo." Walden films that have been set up at other studios, like future films in the "Chronicles of Narnia" series at Walt Disney Pictures, will not be affected by the agreement.
