Foxworthy can tell he's 'Smarter'

Jeff Foxworthy is looking pretty smart these days -- he is set to host the upcoming Fox quiz show "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader."

The comedian, who is a member of the popular Blue Collar Comedy troupe, will serve as emcee of the Mark Burnett-produced series, set to bow Feb. 27 in a plum post-"American Idol" berth. The show will air three consecutive nights, Feb. 27-March 1, behind special editions of "Idol." As of March 8, it will air three consecutive weeks on Thursdays.

Foxworthy, known for his self-described "redneck humor," has penned 11 books and earned multiple Grammy nominations for his comedy albums. He starred in WB Network's "Blue Collar TV" sketch show with compatriots Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall and subsequent Comedy Central specials and a live stage show.

Foxworthy is repped by CAA, manager J.P. Williams and attorney Abel Lezcano.
