France 24 inks deals across Europe, Russia

PARIS -- Gallic news network France 24 is branching out across the globe with distribution deals inked in a slew of new territories, the international broadcaster announced Wednesday.

France 24 has sealed 10 distribution agreements in Russia, the Ukraine and Moldavia and signed new deals to be broadcast in Austria (Telekom Austria), in Portugal (Cabovisao and Portugal Telecom), in Morocco (Maroc Telecom), in Turkey (D-Smart) and in Malta (Melita Cable).

"These new agreements prove that France 24 is a valuable and attractive product for all international TV operators," France 24 COO in charge of distribution technology and support departments Jean-Yves Bonsergent said in a statement.

The 24/7 channel, broadcast in French, English and Arabic, is already available to 80 million households worldwide in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the East Coast of the U.S through cable, satellite and DSL.
