Frederic Raphael has signed with the Gersh Agency

Oscar-winning writer-director-novelist Frederic Raphael has signed with the Gersh Agency. Raphael won an original screenplay Oscar for 1965's "Darling" and was nominated for 1967's "Two for the Road." He also adapted the "Eyes Wide Shut" screenplay with director Stanley Kubrick. Raphael is working on several film projects, including "La Mia Mano Destra" and "America." He continues to be repped by Steve Kenis in London and managed by Mike Marcus of Echo Lake Management in Los Angeles.

Also signing with Gersh is Daniel Gillies, who next appears in the films "The Sensation of Sight" and "Captivity." His credits include "Spider-Man 2" and TNT's "Into the West." Gillies is managed by Ben Levine at Levine/Wilkins, with legal representation by Neal Meyer.

Maury Chaykin has signed with Bauman, Redanty and Shaul. The actor's credits include the films "Being Julia," "The Art of War," "Entrapment," "My Cousin Vinny" and "Dances With Wolves" as well as Sci Fi Channel's "Eureka" and CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

APA has signed a slew of actors, including Flex Alexander, Khleo Thomas, Joe Flanigan and Yara Martinez. Alexander, who is onscreen in "Snakes on a Plane," starred in and co-executive produced UPN's "One on One." Upcoming projects include "Poor Boy's Game" and "Love ... and Other 4 Letter Words." He also is repped by Principato-Young Entertainment and attorney Anthony Mulrain. Thomas next appears in the indie film "The Beautiful Ordinary." Thomas' credits include the films "Holes," "Walking Tall" and "Roll Bounce." Flanigan, whose credits include Sci Fi Channel's "Stargate: Atlantis," will continue to be managed by John Carrabino. Martinez's credits include Fox's "Vanished" and the Fox pilot "Faceless."

Also signing with APA is Weller/Grossman Prods., which has produced shows for such networks as NBC, CNN, USA Network, Discovery Channel, AandE and Food Network. The company's "Beyond the Da Vinci Code," for the History Channel, earned two Primetime Emmy nominations in 2005.

Cinematographer Jeffrey Kimball, producer Andrew Sugerman and visual effects producer Kurt Williams have signed with Endeavor. Kimball will be repped by Endeavor in film and television. His credits include "Top Gun," "Mission: Impossible II," "Be Cool" and "True Romance." He continues to be repped by the Mack Agency for commercials. Sugerman, who is producing "Death Sentence," produced the upcoming Sandra Bullock thriller "Premonition" as well as "Shopgirl" and "Johnson Family Vacation." Williams was the visual effects producer on "X-Men: The Last Stand," "Fantastic Four" and "Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat."

Screenwriter-novelist Joseph O'Connor has signed with Jewerl Ross at Silent R Management. His last novel, "Star of the Sea," was a best-seller in the U.K. and is being developed for the screen by Working Title Films. O'Connor's next novel, "Redemption Falls," will be shopped to studios in the fall. He continues to be repped by U.K.-based Blake Friedmann Literary Agency.

Penny Reiss and Randy Smith have been named agents in ICM's global branded entertainment division, which launched in February. Both will report to Lori Sale. Reiss has served as vp product integration at Showtime Networks and worldwide marketing partnerships manager at Paramount Pictures, while Smith has served as an entertainment marketing strategist at the Hearst Group and has held marketing positions at InStyle, MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
