Universal Offering Free 'Sing' Screenings at AMC Theatres Over Thanksgiving Weekend

The star-studded animated musical, out Dec. 21, sees Matthew McConaughey voicing a theater-owning koala who attempts to reverse his fortunes by holding the world's greatest singing competition.

After Thanksgiving Thursday and Black Friday comes Sing Saturday.

On Nov. 26, 200 AMC Theatres nationwide will offer free screenings of the animated musical, Illumination Entertainment, Universal Pictures and AMC Theatres has announced. The Thanksgiving weekend event takes place before the film's nationwide release Dec. 21.

Tickets for Sing Saturday screenings will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 200 moviegoers in line at participating AMC Theatres on Nov. 26 (10 a.m. local time).

Written and directed by Garth Jennings, Sing stars follows Matthew McConaughey as a theater-owning koala who attempts to reverse his fortunes by holding the world's greatest singing competition. Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Nick Kroll, Nick Offerman, Peter Serafinowicz, Leslie Jones and Tori Kelly are among the star-studded voice cast of the film, which includes a reported 85 preexisting songs.
