FremantleMedia China Names Vivian Yin CEO
She previously worked for Star China and will now run the day-to-day operations of the 'X Factor' and 'Got Talent' producer in China.
FremantleMedia has appointed Vivian Yin as CEO of its Chinese unit.
She will be running the day-to-day operations and driving the continued expansion of the reality TV giant's China business. She will report to Paul O’Hanlon, managing director of FremantleMedia Asia.
Yin joins FremantleMedia China from Star China where she was chief representative and vp production and worked with shows including The Voice and Dancing With The Stars. Star China Media's CEO, Tian Ming, announced the appointment of Iris Xia as deputy general manager of the company, replacing Yin.
Fremantle, producer of such shows as The X Factor and Got Talent, announced in April that it had signed a joint venture deal with two subsidiaries of Shanghai Media Group to develop and create entertainment formats for the Chinese market.
Yin takes over from Yu Le, who is leaving FremantleMedia to move to Australia with his family.
