Fresco pilot at Fox pops for vet Conti
EmptyTom Conti has been tapped to star in Fox's untitled Victor Fresco comedy pilot.
The project, from 20th Century Fox Television, centers on a 10-year-old who tries to navigate life in his high-achieving, stressed family with the unorthodox help of his slightly crazy grandfather, Nate (Conti). The role of the boy is being cast.
Conti, an Oscar nominee for 1983's "Reuben, Reuben," next appears in the film "Dangerous Parking." His recent credits include "Almost Heaven" and "Derailed."
He is repped by Gersh Agency.
In other pilot news, the CW comedy "M.I.L.F. and Cookies" has been rolled because of problems with casting.
