Friedlander rocks 'Starship'
Empty"30 Rock" star Judah Friedlander has boarded 20th Century Fox's fish-out-of-water comedy "Starship Dave."
Eddie Murphy toplines the project, which revolves around a crew of tiny humanlike beings that, in an effort to save their doomed world, takes on a perfect disguise: a vessel that looks like an ordinary, normal-size man. Friedlander will play the engineer of the crew.
Brian Robbins is helming from a screenplay penned by Rob Greenberg and Bill Corbett.
Elizabeth Banks, Gabrielle Union and Ed Helms already have joined the cast.
Deep River Prods.' David T. Friendly is producing alongside Guy Walks Into a Bar's Jon Berg and Todd Komarnicki.
Friedlander's credits include "Date Movie," "Along Came Polly" and "American Splendor." He is repped by the Gersh Agency and 3 Arts Entertainment.
