Front Row Report, Miu Miu: Hailee Steinfeld's Coat Obsession
The actress was joined by Shailene Woodley and Nicola Peltz at the show filled with color and prints.
For spring Miuccia Prada showed a mix of colors and patterns (both plaids and florals) for her playful, younger label. Ruffled crop tops teamed with pencil skirts and ladylike day coats (sleeves casually scrunched up) had a carefree, girlie sophistication.
“The coats! I just loved all of the coats!” exclaimed Hailee Steinfeld, who sat front row with Shailene Woodley. “It was a lot of fun,” said Woodley of the spring/summer 2015 presentation that took place at the Palais d’Iena during Paris Fashion Week. When asked about her chic white and blush color-blocked V-neck dress with lilac pumps, Woodley was quick to respond, “It’s thanks to Miuccia!”
Other boldface names included Liv Tyler, Lea Seydoux and Nicola Peltz. The Transformers beauty, who was dressed in a billowy-sleeve white silk chiffon top and skirt, attended with her stylist, Leslie Fremar. “I love being in Paris,” said Peltz, who’s currently finishing up shooting on Bates Motel before starting work on the fifth Transformers installment. “I’ve been to a few shows here before, but it’s my first time at Miu Miu.”
Stylist Jessica Paster, who came from Louis Vuitton where her clients Miranda Kerr and The Equalizer’s Haley Bennett were VIP guests, loved the Miu Miu collection’s wearability factor: “Every piece shown was very wearable and you can’t always say that … the way Miuccia mixes and matches colors and prints is amazing.” Paster especially had her eye on a cotton-candy-pink fur-trimmed coat: “That was my standout piece.” Perhaps the perfect touch of femme for her client Aubrey Plaza, who often wears Miu Miu.
