Fullscreen's Phil Ranta Jumps to Collective Digital Studio
The digital media executive will be joining the YouTube network as chief operating officer.
Collective Digital Studio has tapped former Fullscreen executive Phil Ranta as chief operating officer.
Ranta, who will report to Collective Digital Studio CEO Reza Izad, will oversee the network, engineering and distribution teams, as well as develop strategies to strengthen the digital media company.
Ranta was most recently vp network at Fullscreen, where he oversaw talent operations for a network of creators including Grace Helbig and The Fine Brothers. An early Fullscreen employee, he joined the company in 2012 and helped to build the channel partnerships team and grow Fullscreen's audience to more than 5 billion monthly views. Prior to Fullscreen, he was executive producer at mobile photo and video company Viva! Vision.
"Phil has a deep understanding of digital media which makes him an outstanding fit for CDS," said CDS Chairman Michael Green. "As we continue to grow, he will play a key role helping us build the infrastructure needed to maximize opportunities that best serve channels, brands and creators."
