'Funeral' team turns to 'A Few Best Men'

Stephen Elliott to direct

Producers Laurence Malkin and Share Stallings and writer Dean Craig -- all of whom collaborated on the two versions of "Death at a Funeral" -- are joining forces with Gary Hamilton's Arclight Films for a new comedy titled "A Few Best Men."

Stephan Elliott, who directed 1995's "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," is helming Craig's screenplay about a groom and his three best men who travel to the Australian outback for a wedding. Production begins in Queensland, Australia in August.

Malkin, Stallings, Hamilton and Todd Fellman are producing. Craig, Arclight's Mark Lindsay and Josh Kesselman are the executive producers.

Arclight is handling worldwide sales.

Craig is repped by UTA, Principal Entertainment and attorney Michael Schenkman.
